Junction 14 – Mayfield

Junction 14 Mayfield is a state-of-the-art Motorway Service station that required a state- of-the-art solution for commercial refrigeration combined with modern dining experiences.

With the premises remaining open to the public throughout the refurbishment project, AIR worked alongside the project management team of BWG to provide temporary refrigeration & deli solutions. Our planning & installation teams, in turn, worked tirelessly to ensure a seamless transition to the permanent layout ensuring the new store opening “on time” & “on budget”.

Junction 14 Mayfield aims to be a planned & unique destination of choice, therefore the design team at AIR had to ensure the correct refrigeration solutions were provided. We choose the Arneg Panama 3P, as the main shop floor refrigeration. These modern & innovative cabinets utilise a large display area, unrivalled ergonomics & powerful lighting to ensure maximum product appeal & preservation. In conjunction with shop floor refrigeration, AIR supplied, installed & commissioned over 50sqm of cold storage, supported by an efficient and future-proofed pack system.

Food offerings at Junction 14 needed equipment that ensured flexible display, safe serving, easy clean up and energy efficiency, once again the AIR Group worked alongside the project managers restoring and reusing our clients existing equipment, as well as providing new solutions. One such area requiring innovation, was the Self serve / food to go offering, here AIR supplied & fitted a new Grab & Go low level Nurdil Lena cabinet together with a new self serve patisserie cabinet. The Ubert DMLK patisserie multi level flexible display was the perfect fit.

Projects like these are a perfect example of the dynamic progression of a shop layout. AIR maintained close communication with the project managers & client, throughout the process to ensure the correct solutions were identified & installed leading to the right balance of form & function being achieved.
